Instagram the world

Completely obsessed.

Instagramtheworld.com is a website that Nico, a Huffington Post executive editor, and his wife Karina created. He quit his job and they are traveling to 26 countries in 200 days, and instagramming the entire journey.

To say that I am living vicariously is a complete understatement -- leaving everything behind, traveling country to country with just an outline of travels and not a complete itenerary, a 200 day journey to foreign countries seeing the 7 Wonders of the World, living like locals, and being able to stretch it out and take your time?! That is my life long and complete dreammmmmm.

One day I WILL visit some of these amazing places, but let these just wet my appetite and semi-tie me over til then...

Yes people, I am OBSESSED!!!!! The rainbow over the falls, and Machu Picchu. My Lorddddd.

all images via instagramtheworld.com or their instagrams @karinanewton and @nicopitney.

or you can follow me @hannahoutlaw with a guarantee that my photos are no where near that amazing.

Midweek blues

Since today is Wednesday (technically it's Monday for me, but I'm writing this in advance), I know that currently I am asleep and feeling crappy because I'm midway in night shift 2 of 3 and groggy. I work 7pm to 7am then go home and straight to sleep from like 8am to 530pm, only to wake up again.
Bleh.
This is what I'd rather be diong, and am currently doing on Monday, (my actual today) :)

Since this Friday is my birthday and I start back on night shift this week, I was lucky to have had a 4 day weekend.
Guess where I went?

Five for Friday

I am loving...

(via)

I have caught up on the entire series (2 seasons worth, and like 48 episodes!) in under a week. Needless to say, I am obsessed. The rabbit trail of stories that unfold and entwine, the amazing clothes, the friendships and relationships -- it is worth a second glance past the ABC Family channel.

Danskin Now running shorts -- from WALMART for SEVEN bucks! They are nearly completely identical to the Nike shorts, or Norts (I compared them to my sister's Norts from an outlet), and only $7! I have 5 pairs, initally had a plain gray and plain black pair that I got while at the beach and needing a change of clothes. But was in my local store a few days ago, and saw some summer colors and scooped them up. They are amazing, and with my legs that are longer and skinnier than I'd like, they are actually long enough and cover up better than Soffies.

I recently bought the ones on the left at Target, and upon trying them on at home I knew they looked familiar somehow. Leave it to one of my favorite blogs to show me the light -- they're nearly identical to the new Chloe's!

Instagram is my obsession right now. Recently an Android version became available, and I already have almost 200 photos on it. My username is hannahoutlaw if you want to follow me. It's a great way to snap and save things from your life, and keep up with everyone.

Only I would start and end with a tv show -- but trust me, I never steer people wrong -- TV is how I unwind and destress after a long day, and Breaking Pointe is amazingggg. It comes on the CW on Thursdays and there's only been 2 episodes, so it's an easy catch up. It's real life documentary from Salt Lake City's Ballet West, and it's so raw and devastatingly beautiful you get swept away so easily. The backstage practices, the off stage romances and friendships, the heartache and waiting to see if you get a contract renewal, the cliques, the interviews for other ballet productions that you pay for out of pocket, and the gorgeous backdrop of Salt Lake makes this a must see.

Also, so sorry I've been MIA, I've just really been using my site as a homebase to click through my following blog lists on a daily basis, but am trying to update again.

10am

So I didn't get a chance to nab a photo at 10am today -- mostly because I forgot what today's topic was, and also because at 10am I was at McD's with our Girls Group working our way through John 2. So if I could reenact the photo it'd be my large Study Bible, my tiny Message Bible, my Hello Kitty notebook, a large sweet tea, a bacon egg and cheese mcmuffin, a yogurt parfait, my long leopard jacket, and a bunch of God-seeking girls!

My mother is pictured here at her wedding, right outside the church in Milan back in ’73. While scanning the pictures, I was amazed to see the similarities to color modifications you see in today’s fashion ad campaigns.

Long time, no blog

Wow it has a been a minute since I've been on here! More like half a year lol. In defense, I have definitely still been on here every few days in order to click on and update myself with blogs on my site, but I haven't really had anything to update. I absolutely love my job, I love the people I work with, I love my days off (I do three 12 hour shifts, so I have four days off a week!), I love my patients, I am co leading a Girls Group at church for 13 to 19 year olds, co teaching an 11th and 12th grade Sunday School class with Matt (we do ours at night), and helping with youth, and just been hanging with my fam.
Went to NYC at Christmas, and ATL the first week of January for Passion 2012 which completely and totally wrecked me and changed my life in a divine way.
So in an effort ot get back at this, I decided to do the February update daily thing so I can keep it going legit.
To start with, my view today is

At home in front of the TV all. freakin. day. long and LOVING every moment of it! My hair is still wet from the shower I took at like 10am this morning, and I've been vegging hard -- watching X Games on DVR from this past weekend since I worked and missed them, eating chocolate cake I baked for no reason, and hanging out in my robe. Being off Monday through Wednesday during the week is amazing.
